Prince and Pearl are a new psych-folk influenced pop project from Brooklyn. P&P are a duo collaboration between Adam “Meadows” Mitchell (guitar / bass & vox) and Ben McConnell (dums) - often with help from friends ala Kiowa Hammons (sax), Jamie Scythes (pedal steel), Aimee Hunter (vox), John Hunter (Vox), Matthew Houck (vox), Michelle Mcshane (vox).

Mothfight are a lush, diversely influenced Austin, TX four piece fronted by Kevin Adickes (Pitchfork writer, x Octopus Project, x Single Frame). Mothfight’s sound is equal parts ProTools glitch pastiche and swirling Victorian orchestra. “Though their sound relies heavily on classic orchestral instrumentation (trumpets, cellos, violins, banjos, barbershop harmony), they also utilize hand-made tape loops, samples, circuit bent toys, and forms of musique concrète.” - Wikipedia .

Mixing everything from the sound escaping a burning house to modified medical equipment, broken children’s toys, the New York City streets, instructional detritus music, industrial accidents, sound artist submissions and vocal endurance experiments, all is put to the common cassette and hacked to pieces live, in order to “kill the NonHorse” a nightmare symbol of confusion and evil. [ ANGEL DERADOORIAN ]
Angel Deradoorian (who also plays bass and sings in Dirty Projectors) writes quiet, contemplative songs with hushed vocals and delicate infectious melodies, typically rendered with just voice and quiet guitar or piano. “Its truly like she is sharing all of her soul with you when she sings” (Collective Music).
