We’re all outfitting ourselves in superstar gear and coating the venue in tinfoil and buying mylar baloons and taking screen tests and polaroids and dancing all night long. And, speaking of superstars, one of the more important figures in art, music, and contemporary life, the legendary founder of the industrial and acid house genres, who’s responsible for a sizable chunk of the good, the bad, and the vital of 21st subculture in general, Throbbing Gristle/Psychick TV/COUM Transmissions’ Genesis P-Orridge/Lady Jaye, will spin their first ever NYC DJ gig. Eric Z of Secret Project Robot and Jonathan from NewYorkNightTrain will also juggle some platters. Puddin’ Tang will return as the Velvet Underground for the first time since Halloween. The Marmaladies will go go whip dance. Mikilandia Productions will do their “Pop Music” performance piece. The Mighty Robot AV squad will once again contribute their exquisite wall-to-wall projections all night long.
