JONATHAN TOUBIN spends his first full month in town since 2015! And he’ll be doing parties at his friends’ venues and dance parties every night for 32 straight days! For January only Toubin returns to the time when New York Night Train was a nightly party – revisiting old events like the Animal Train Happening, Polyglot Discotheque, Boogie Night Blues Party, New York Night Train Happening, the Record Release, and more. And while he also returns to many of the venues where he started out, Enid’s, Daddy’s, Union Pool, Beauty Bar, etc, he’s also heading to his friends’ new spots he’s been looking forward to checking out, Montana’s Trail House, Lulu’s, Doris, Over the Eight, St Vitus, Super Happy Funland, etc. and all the while also hitting up his occasional spots Baby’s All Right, Commodore, One Last Shag, Botanica, Bowery Electric, Passenger Bar, Broken Land, and Otto’s Shrunken Head, and older favorites that he never got around to like Max Fish, Local 138, Black and White, and Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center, he’s also doing his two regular gigs – his weekly Shakin’ All Over Under Sideways Down! at Home Sweet Home and monthly Soul Clap and Dance-Off at Brooklyn Bowl! While this marathon may seem excessive, JT’s looking forward to staying home and getting reacquainted with his people, his places, and his under-played records…
