Monday, May 29 New York, NY – Piano’s: Celebrating the Life of George Porfiris with Bitcoin Camero, George’s friends playing his songs, and DJs Spencer Bewley and Jonathan Toubin, 7pm – ?, FREE I met George Porfiris when he came to Texas with the band Molitov Cocktail and when I made it to NYC in the late 1990s he was one of the first people to take really good care of me – showing me around, introducing me to people, helping me get jobs, giving me free drinks, etc. It was a pleasure knowing such a kind generous soul and tonight, which marks two years since his death, I’m happy his friends put together this time to celebrate the man and his music. All of George’s people are encouraged to pop out!
