Sat, June 13: Todd P and Panache Booking Present Mika Miko, Strange Boys, Coat Hangers, and Fiasco, with a late night dancing party featuring dancing all night with Mr. Jonathan Toubin and Friends, Market Hotel (Bushwick, Brooklyn), 8pm, all ages, $9 (after bands $5): Whoah-haw! Mika Miko are finally back on the east coast. This supreme west coast art-punk outfit has prolifically recorded and toured for years, establishing themselves as on of the more exciting bands in their genre via non-stop touring and recording throughout the 21st century. They’ll be joined by Mr. Jonathan Toubin’s favorite Austin band, The Strange Boys, who just released their first full-length on Larry Hardy’s prestigious In the Red imprint (remember, Black Lips, King Khan, Jay Reatard, etc were all there before they were snatched up by bigger badder fish…). Coathangers are four gals from Hot’lanta that play quirky art/party punk. And Fiasco, half-of whom now back up Bruno Wizard in the Homosexuals, are one of the finest new bands in the Empire City. This is an amazing show. When the bands are done, the door goes down to five bones and Mr. Toubin takes over for an all-night blowout (attn. service industry – fall by after the bars close – we’re chuggin’ til tha dawn).

- Sun, June 14: Northside Festival: Atlanta-fest: Coat Hangers, K-Holes (ex-Black Lips), Ex-Humans (Ex-Carbonas), and DJ Alix Brown (ex-Lids), Glasslands Gallery, 9pm, $6: This official Northside Festival gig features a New York Night Train-curated party featuring all Atlantans! The Coat-Hangers, on tour from Atlanta, are joined by expats K-Holes – who feature Jack Hines of Blacklips, his wife Julie of Wet Dreams, and Cameron and Vashti Windish of Golden Triangle (and honorary Hot’Lantan Andrew McNasty), Ex-Humans, who are led by the Carbonas’ Josh Martin, and DJ Alix Brown – who played in The Lids in here Atlanta days and is currently of Golden Triangle. As fun as a barrel full of Blind Willie, BBQ Bob, Pegleg Howell, CNN, and Coca-Cola!

Sat, June 13: Todd P and Panache Booking Present Mika Miko, Strange Boys, Coat Hangers, and Fiasco, with a late night dancing party featuring dancing all night with Mr. Jonathan Toubin and Friends, Market Hotel (Bushwick, Brooklyn), 8pm, all ages, $9 (after bands $5): Whoah-haw! Mika Miko are finally back on the east coast. This supreme west coast art-punk outfit has prolifically recorded and toured for years, establishing themselves as on of the more exciting bands in their genre via non-stop touring and recording throughout the 21st century. They’ll be joined by Mr. Jonathan Toubin’s favorite Austin band, The Strange Boys, who just released their first full-length on Larry Hardy’s prestigious In the Red imprint (remember, Black Lips, King Khan, Jay Reatard, etc were all there before they were snatched up by bigger badder fish…). Coathangers are four gals from Hot’lanta that play quirky art/party punk. And Fiasco, half-of whom now back up Bruno Wizard in the Homosexuals, are one of the finest new bands in the Empire City. This is an amazing show. When the bands are done, the door goes down to five bones and Mr. Toubin takes over for an all-night blowout (attn. service industry – fall by after the bars close – we’re chuggin’ til tha dawn).

- Sun, June 14: Northside Festival: Atlanta-fest: Coat Hangers, K-Holes (ex-Black Lips), Ex-Humans (Ex-Carbonas), and DJ Alix Brown (ex-Lids), Glasslands Gallery, 9pm, $6: This official Northside Festival gig features a New York Night Train-curated party featuring all Atlantans! The Coat-Hangers, on tour from Atlanta, are joined by expats K-Holes – who feature Jack Hines of Blacklips, his wife Julie of Wet Dreams, and Cameron and Vashti Windish of Golden Triangle (and honorary Hot’Lantan Andrew McNasty), Ex-Humans, who are led by the Carbonas’ Josh Martin, and DJ Alix Brown – who played in The Lids in here Atlanta days and is currently of Golden Triangle. As fun as a barrel full of Blind Willie, BBQ Bob, Pegleg Howell, CNN, and Coca-Cola!
