Spank Rock, Japanther, Zs, This Bike Is A Pipebomb, High Places, Dan Deacon, Necking, Parts and Labor, Bucks and Gallants, Lexie Mountain, Lidia Stone - 1105 Metropolitan (toddpnyc.com) $10

This outdoor Todd P fest is at "a huge loading dock/parking lot for a Korean import/export company". Of course the main reason to come is a visit from the hyped but too-amazing-to-be-ignored Baltimore/Philly duo Spank Rock... whose big big bootee bump is of a post-modern pan-Atlantic retro-future whose sound criss-crosses, chronologically, the Bronx, Detroit, Miami, London, and, of course, Bal'more. Other highlights include the very inventive and musical sextet Zs, the abstract world-informed songcraft of duo High Places, the electronic looney tunes of Dan Deacon, the spazzy experimentation of Necking, the warped avant Apalachian dada of Baltimore's Lexi Mountain, and more. Lots of sound coming from two stages...
