Heads up weekenders…

The big show news of the weekend is of course that eclecticly adventurous Social Registry label is celebrating four years of pumpin’ out NYC classic after classic with a big fest Saturday and Sunday afternoon with all of the greats and some unique surprises…. go here for more

Also, tonight, whereeever you may be, you can’t turn a corner without bumping into choice jams. Not only do I spin the fat stuff at Union Pool all night with the legendary drummer/mighty party rocker Ryan Sawyer (Tall Firs, ex-Fiery Furnaces, etc.) all night long, but you can check out Vashti and Cameron from Golden Triangle at Daddy’s, and, one of the finest DJ’s there is, Senior Matt Pendleton from New Orleans Louisiana with one of the finest dancers there is, the shimmy-licious Ms. Anna Copa Cabana, at Motor City.

And, tomorrow, the rumors are indeed true, Ms. Copa Cabana and I are joining forces, my grooves and her moves, upstairs at Club Midway for an evening of shakin’ all over while the Star Spangles, The Stalkers, and a number of our finest rockers go at it below us in the basement.

Then, also tomorrow, an important show has been moved from Supreme Trading to Spike Hill of all places - two of the the most rockingest Texas punk bands, the Golden Boys and the Strange Boys, will be joined by New York’s wildest new party band, Golden Triangle, at, of all places, Spike Hill!

Another quietly underground loud event at 4pm at Passout Records - international poet of mystery Zach Lipez’s FreshKills, Pee Wee and Memphis Mike’s ICU, KBR, and the debut of Some Action side project Tigershark.
