Social Registry fest this weekend!

NYC’s eclecticly adventurous Social Registry label is celebrating four years of pumpin’ out contemporary classic after classic with a big fest Saturday and Sunday afternoon with all of the usual greats, some special surprises, and a couple of newbies.
For me the biggest news in Saturday’s lineup is that the legendary circa post modern no wave/old school electro hop stars Ghost Exits, Chris Anderson and Vietnam’s Ivan Sunshine, will put in their first performance in over three years. Additionally supreme psych/Kraut/whateverz Psychic Ills will headline and dub supergroup Jah Division, chill-out Bitches Brewers Artanker Convoy, blues revisionist TK Webb, prolific studio maestro/singer/songwriter/arranger Samara Lubelski, folkster Mike Bones, and recent label signing London’s Sian Alice Group (acoustic) will perform.
Sunday’s bill is headlined by the unearthly and masterfully unique Gang Gang Dance and also includes Sian Alice Group (electric), the stellar heavy ethereal Growing, groovy scene-vets Electroputas, LA-based Douglas Armour, duo experimental folks Christy and Emily, and White Magic’s guitar magician Sleepy Doug Show.
Both shows are outdoors at the Yard (400 Carrol St between Bond and Nevins - Carrol Gardens) - starting at 1pm and running for more than eight hours.
