Tonight’s party will immediately follow WIlliamsburg Fashion Week’s afterparty at Glasslands Gallery. So get there early!

New York Night Train’s most popular party (and contest), the Soul Clap and Dance-Off, which last year broke out of Brooklyn to ping pong back and forth from Portland, Oregon to Portland, Maine, and from Mexico City to Tel Aviv, returns to its Glassland’s Gallery home Saturday. As always, this month’s Soul Clap will feature all-night dancing to the exquisitely dynamic 45rpm ’60s soul magic of New York Night Train soul proprietor Mr. Jonathan Toubin (who is just returning from a Mardi Gras tour of the south!)- plus a 1AM Dance-Off for a $100 grand prize MC-ed by lovely Laura Leigh.

This week’s contest will be presided over by a distinguished panel of judges consisting of the following pillars of the local community (follow the links and support their noble endeavors):

- Tom – lead singe of Brooklyn’s fabulous Electric Tickle Machine
- Vice’s Nicholas Gazinillustrator, blogger, promoter, photographer, and all-around mustachioed renaissance fella
- Georgia Walker of Darryl K (and former NY Night Train intern!)
- Dr Lila Wolf - rock and roll chiropractor to the stars
- Daniel Barcelowsky - film maker and leader of NYC’s rhythmic dark post-punk sensation Preacher and the Knife

Doors and dancing start at MIDNIGHT.
