February 14 New York Night Train will partner with Panache Booking, Bust Magazine and the women of the NYC music community for the 9th Annual Valentine’s Village of Love event at T.V. Eye! This year will be a live revue and dance featuring a grassroots aggregation of 24 women from across NYC’s broad underground rock’n’roll spectrum, from punk, electronic, folk, metal, pop, garage, country, and beyond, each singing one of their favorite love songs backed by an all-star one-off 10-piece live band Dylan Fernandez and The Heart Beats. The show will be MC-ed by Steve Myers of Afghan Whigs and Mighty Fine plus the Amram sisters, comedian Adira and musician Alana. The night will conclude with Jonathan Toubin‘s annual Valentine’s dance party tradition featuring guest DJs Claudia Gonzales, Judy Hsu, and Mary Blount from The Baby Shakes. The Village of Love isn’t only raising awareness and funds for Planned Parenthood, but its also an attempt to imbue the Hallmark holiday with a meaning beyond the saccharine consumerism of the occasion while offering the public an alternative thing to do and place to gather on February 14.

Here you will find an eclectic collection of artists and tracks from the women across the 2022 NYC underground music scene united for a good cause. Officially released digitally on bandcamp by After The Fall Records on Feb 10, 2022. $22 for all 29 songs or $1 for individual tracks.
