New York Night Train’s SUNDAY SOUL SCREAM returns for its 8th season – your dependable weekly escape into the open sky, soulful sounds, starry rooftop ambience, good company, and night breezes of a classic NYC dance party tradition, is back in 2024! Established in 2016 as an outlet for NYNT’s soul proprietor to spin his less-played platters at a free intimate dance for his local friends, over the years this humble informal hang out has grown into a mighty annual nightlife institution powered not only by an epic cast of the most exciting bands and DJs on the planet, but also by a diverse weekly revolving door of revelers from dusk ‘til dawn who are the core of the festivities! The party ebbs and flows throughout the night with waves of party people emerging from the beach, the park, dinner, concerts, dance parties, and stuffy NYC apartments to mingle, cool off with frozen cocktails, get transported by killer bands, and step to the beat of the finest summery soul, funk, r&b, boogaloo, reggae, and beyond vinyl anywhere! Night owls dressed to the nines shake it down with sun worshipers in swim suits and head to the bar for another shot of tequila while another big crew rolls through in the early morn to liven things up just when you thought the night was winding down. Cash cover charge for the early live music portion of the night fluctuates weekly as the artists set their own admission and keep the entire door after a couple production expenses (feel free to throw your favorite bands a few extra bucks upon entry as it goes directly to them)!
